BOSS U16 Green Show Gritty Effort and Perimeter Spark Against Tough Division Rivals

BOSS U16 Green came out firing in the opening quarter with fantastic intensity on both ends of the floor. Jos caught fire from beyond the arc early, knocking down a pair of three-pointers courtesy of sharp playmaking from Brodie. Coupled with active hands from Nicholas and Henry forcing quick turnovers, the team matched their opponents stride for stride to lock the first period in a 12-12 deadlock.

The contest remained within reach throughout the second frame as Henry and Nicholas attacked the basket, but the Suns & Oaks U16 Red squad began to find traction inside. In the third quarter, our opponents unleashed a decisive 20-9 run, capitalizing on transition opportunities and offensive putbacks despite spirited defensive blocks and boards from AJ and Brodie. Although Nicholas drained a timely triple, the momentum swung in favor of the visitors.

Despite facing a double-digit deficit entering the final term, our boys displayed great character and fought until the final buzzer. Will stepped up to sink a late perimeter shot, while Logan worked tirelessly to generate scoring chances in the paint. While the 40-61 result wasn't what we aimed for, the match offered valuable learning experiences in ball security and defensive rebounding that will make us stronger moving forward.
