BOSS U16 Green Powers Past Portsmouth Force Red Behind Explosive Second Quarter
BOSS U16 Green set an energetic tone right from the opening tip against Portsmouth Force Red. With Jos and Henry finding their scoring rhythm early from the perimeter and attacking the basket with confidence, the boys traded high-tempo blows in an entertaining first period to establish a 25-21 lead.
The decisive moment of the contest came in a blistering second quarter where BOSS erupted for 33 points while tightening up their defensive rotations to limit Portsmouth to just 15. Orchestrated by Will's exceptional vision and passing, BOSS pushed the pace in transition to find open looks for Ollie, Michael, and Henry, building an insurmountable 58-36 cushion at halftime.
Portsmouth responded with intensity after the break, but BOSS managed the game with composure through committed glass work from Malachi and steady ball pressure from Jos and Henry. Despite our offense cooling off in a lower-scoring fourth quarter, the team's defensive foundation and unselfish ball movement sealed a convincing 87-71 pre-season victory.
